1.day

Flight to Managua.

Our tropical adventure begins with arrival at Augusto C. Sandino International Airport located in the capital city of Managua. Accommodation at the hotel and some rest.

2.day

Leon

After breakfast, we’ll hit the road. Nicaragua is waiting for us! Four-wheel drive vehicles will take us to the base of the still-active Cerro Negro volcano.

The return journey downhill is the biggest tourist attraction in Nicaragua, as it involves descending the volcano’s slope on a special board. Upon reaching the bottom, we’ll rest and enjoy a light meal.

Next, we’ll move to the city of León, where we’ll visit the largest church in Central America, the Ruben Dario Museum, the Ortiz Gurdian Museum, and see the Murals of the Revolution. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

3.day

Managua, Granada

After breakfast, we’ll return to the city of Managua. While exploring museums, parks, and other landmarks, we’ll get to know its culture and history. Upon returning to León, we’ll visit Pompey of Nicaragua, the old city built by the Spanish in 1524.

Next, we’ll head to the Tiscapa lookout point. There stands the statue of the revolutionary Augusto Sandino. Our next stop is the first and largest national park in Nicaragua, Masaya Volcano, where we can explore the crater of the still-active Masaya volcano.

In the afternoon, we’ll proceed to Granada, the oldest colonial city located on the largest lake, Lago de Nicaragua. Since its foundation in 1524, the city has endured numerous pirate attacks, civil wars, and fires. Overnight stay in Granada.

Nikaragua

4.day

Zopango Island

After breakfast, we will head to the port from where we will embark on a boat ride to explore some of the famous islands of Granada. During the cruise, you will have the opportunity to admire the fauna and flora of the lake’s surroundings.

We will sail to the private Zopango Island, where you can relax by swimming in the crystal-clear waters, explore the island, observe birds, or unwind in a hammock. On the island, we will enjoy a delicious lunch featuring locally grilled fish. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

5.day

The volcanic island of Ometepe

After breakfast, we will head to the town of San Jorge, from where we will take a ferry to the volcanic island of Ometepe, home to two active volcanoes, Concepcion and Maderas.

Our destination is Ojo de Agua, a natural spring-fed pool filled with crystal-clear water sourced from an underground river flowing from the Maderas volcano. We will stay overnight at a hotel on the island.

6.day

Las Nubes Adventure Park, San Juan Del Sur

After breakfast, we will take the ferry back to San Jorge and then head to the Pacific coast to the town of San Juan del Sur.

In the amusement park Las Nubes located there, we will have various activities including: Canopy Tour through the treetops of the tropical forest, zip-lining from a platform situated among the trees at a height of 20 meters, and a walk through the tropical jungle.
