Flight to Lima

Welcome to the Peru and Bolivia 2024 tour! Our journey begins with a meet-up at the airport, where we’ll take care of passport and baggage check-in.

Get ready for an unforgettable experience exploring the cultural wonders and natural beauty these two South American gems have to offer!

2.day

Lima

Upon arrival in Lima, the captivating capital of Peru, we’ll kick off our exploration by dropping off our luggage at the hotel.

Our journey begins with a stroll through Miraflores, leading us to the coast where we’ll marvel at the ocean views from the Love Park cliff. Discover the historical heart of the city as we visit Plaza Mayor, the Presidential Palace, City Hall, the Cathedral, and the Archbishop’s Palace. We’ll also delve into the history of the Transandean Railway Station, the Church, and the Monastery of the Franciscans.

A delightful break awaits as we savor the flavors of Peruvian cuisine. Our overnight stay in Lima promises a comfortable rest before more adventures unfold.

Bolivia

3.day

Cusco

As the morning unfolds, our journey takes to the skies as we board a flight to Cusco, the once majestic capital of the Inca Empire. Our day in this extraordinary city kicks off with an exploration, beginning with a visit to the Inca ruins of Sacsayhuaman.

We’ll conclude the day with a leisurely stroll through the city’s most enchanting streets, promising an immersive experience. A comfortable overnight stay in Cusco awaits, setting the stage for more captivating adventures.

4.day

Sacred Valley of the Incas, Aguas Calientes

Today beckons us to explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas, a journey filled with cultural richness. Our first stop is the traditional market in Pisac, providing a chance to procure authentic local products. Following this, we’ll marvel at the remarkably preserved Inca ruins in Ollantaytambo.

As the day unfolds, our path leads us to Aguas Calientes, the pivotal point for our Machu Picchu adventure. A pause for a delightful dinner marks our transition into a serene overnight stay in Aguas Calientes.

5.day

Machu Picchu

Embarking on an early start, today holds the promise of unraveling the mysteries within the Inca ruins of Machu Picchu. In the afternoon, our return to Aguas Calientes invites a pause for lunch, followed by the journey back to Cusco.

An engaging experience awaits as we partake in a tasting of the local beverage, chicha, delving into the secrets of its corn-based production. The day concludes with our return to Cusco, where we settle in for a restful overnight stay.

6.day

Cusco, Rainbow Mountain

Embarking on our journey at the break of dawn, we will make our way to the town of Cusipata. A two-hour trek awaits us, leading to the breathtaking viewpoint on Rainbow Mountain. For those seeking an alternative experience, horse rentals are available.

After witnessing the awe-inspiring spectacle, we will journey back to Cusco, pausing for a delightful meal. In the afternoon, we’ll return to the city, preparing for our flight to Arequipa.

7.day

Arequipa, Colca Canyon

Arequipa enchants visitors with its captivating landscapes, particularly as you wander through its charming streets. Following a morning of exploration within the city, the afternoon beckons you towards the breathtaking Colca Canyon. Renowned for its depth and picturesque scenery, this canyon offers a mesmerizing experience.

As the day draws to a close, before retiring for the night, indulge in a tranquil break, relishing the serenity and beauty of the surrounding nature. Opting to stay near the Colca Canyon presents a unique opportunity to gaze at the stars in the night sky.

8.day

Colca Canyon, Puno

Prepare for an early wake-up call, followed by breakfast and a scenic journey along the Colca River Canyon. With a stroke of luck, we might catch sight of the majestic Andean condor soaring in its natural habitat.

By midday, our route leads us to Puno, a city situated on the shores of Lake Titicaca, recognized as the world’s highest navigable lake. The extraordinary altitude of Lake Titicaca enhances its allure. Accommodations will be arranged in Puno, and for those interested, dinner will be an optional choice.

9.day

Titicaca Lake

Following breakfast, embark on an excursion across the remarkable Lake Titicaca. We’ll visit the incredibly interesting floating islands of Uros, constructed entirely from totora reeds.

For those interested, there’s an option for a short boat ride made of totora reeds. Later, we’ll head towards Taquile Island, renowned for its beautiful textile craftsmanship.

During the exploration of the Uros and Taquile islands, you’ll get to learn about the traditions, beliefs, and culture of their inhabitants.

After lunch, we’ll return by boat to Puno for the night.

10.day

Bolivia, Tiwanaku

Farewell to Peru as we embark on our journey to Bolivia. After crossing the border, we’ll arrive at Tiwanaku.

We’ll delve into the history, culture, and traditions of Tiwanaku by exploring archaeological sites, including Puma Punku and the famous Gate of the Sun. After our exploration, we’ll head to La Paz, the capital of Bolivia, for an overnight stay.

11.day

La Paz

Today, we explore the capital of Bolivia – La Paz. During the tour, we will visit points of interest such as the “Mirador de Killi Killi,” offering a magnificent view of La Paz.

We’ll also take a cable car, the “Teleférico,” to discover a stunning and beautiful panoramic view of the city. The route will take us through the modern and affluent residential neighborhoods of the city, concluding in the Valley of the Moon, where a clay mountain has been impressively shaped by erosion. Accommodation will be arranged in La Paz for the night.

12.day

Departure

The conclusion of the journey is a moment for reflection on the unforgettable experiences we’ve shared. Thank you for embarking on this adventure through the charming countries of South America.
