CHICAGO – SÃU PAULO
Meeting of the group with the guide at the check-in desk at the O’Hare airport terminal in Chicago. Passport and baggage check-in. Flight to São Paulo.
SÃU PAULO
Arrival in São Paulo – the largest city in South America.
After lunch, a walk through the old town of São Paulo, during which you can see the birthplace of São Paulo – the Patio do Colegio Cathedral. In addition, visiting the business center, that is, the local Wall Street, St. Benedict and the National Theatre.
Finally, the entrance to the 26th floor of Banespa, an art deco skyscraper modeled on New York’s Empire State Building. It is here that you can enjoy a wonderful view of the entire city.
Finally, we will visit one of the most beautiful parks in the world, Park Ibirapuera with many interesting monuments and buildings. A walk along the most famous and representative avenue, Avenida Paulista.
IGUAÇU
After breakfast, fly to Foz do Iguaçu and admire the largest waterfalls in the world. 275 water cascades, picturesque fauna and flora of the rainforest are not all that delight the land at the junction of the three borders of Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina.
Iguaçu Falls create a wonderful spectacle of nature. Great water (because this is how the name Iguaçu is translated from the Guarani language), or rather its noise will open our eyes to the enormity and strength of this element. Dinner in the evening.
After breakfast, we will continue to explore the Iguaçu Falls, this time from the Argentinean side.
We will stand eye to eye with the largest waterfall of this wonderful complex, that is, the Devil’s Throat. Without doubt, the view of the overflowing masses of water and the noise associated with it, will allow us to feel the unrestrained power of nature on our own skin. For those who are interested, rafting on the Iguaçu River and an opportunity for a close up encounter with the waterfalls.
Return to Foz do Iguaçu. On the way back, we will stop at the famous Hilo Tres Fonteras, the place where the Iguaçu River flows into the Paraná River. It is at this point where the borders of three countries meet – Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil.
After breakfast, a flight to Rio de Janeiro. Here we will take the historic cable car to the top of Corcovado, where, next to the spectacular statue of Christ the Redeemer, we will admire the wonderful location of the city.
Then we will visit the Maracana district where the most popular stadium in the world is located. On the way to Guanabara Bay, we will stop at the sambadrome to celebrate this significant place colored by the Carioca carnival with samba steps.
Finally, we will enter the historical gate of the city, that is, the Sugarloaf Mountain. From here we will be able to admire the beauty of Guanabarra Bay and the old part of Rio de Janeiro. After a great deal of excitement, we will go for an early dinner at the churrascaria and savor the delicious steaks of Brazil.
Rio is full of wonderful beaches. Each of them, such as Copacabana and Ipanema, attract tourists from all around the world. Every beach has its own ambiance and its mosaic, the waterfront is full of bars where you can often listen to live music and taste wonderful fresh coconuts. On this day, we will also experience the sunbathing atmosphere, and in the afternoon we will go on a cruise around Guanabara Bay with its beautiful sunset.
A day in Paraty on the Costa Verde (Green Coast). It is a seaside resort which is the pearl of the colonial architecture. The old colonial city was founded in the 17th century. In the past, the town was a hiding place for gold that was waiting to be transported to Europe.
Today, tourists from all over the world are attracted to its small churches, cobbled streets and the unique atmosphere. An evening walk through the streets of the city and relaxation by the Atlantic Ocean. Overnight stay in Paraty.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and a transfer to São Paulo. Flight back to the US.
