Flight to Tirana
Our journey commences with a flight to Tirana, the thriving capital of Albania.
As a dynamically developing city, Tirana promises a captivating blend of history, culture, and modernity, setting the stage for an enriching and vibrant travel experience.
Tirana
Embarking on our exploration of Albania, the day unfolds as we arrive in Tirana. Following a seamless transfer to our designated hotel, we settle in for accommodation and an overnight stay.
This marks the beginning of our immersive journey into the beauty and charm that Albania has in store for us.
Tirana
After breakfast, our exploration of Tirana commences with a leisurely stroll along the city’s main boulevard. Highlights include a visit to the Blloku district and the former residence of Enver Hoxha. Skanderbeg Square awaits us, where we’ll delve into the rich history encapsulated at the Bunk’art Museum.
Our journey continues towards Tirana Castle (Kalaja e Tiranës), allowing for optional visits to the Et’hem Bej Mosque or indulging in a shopping experience at the renovated Pazari i Ri market during free time.
In the afternoon, our path leads us to Kruja, an emblematic destination steeped in Albania’s historical legacy. Immerse yourself in the tales of the Illyrians and the remarkable figure of Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu, known as Skanderbeg.
A communal dinner in the castle garden awaits, featuring delectable dishes such as grilled qofte with baked potatoes and fërgesë me mish prepared in a traditional clay pot.
Following this enriching day, we transfer to the hotel for a restful overnight stay.
Cruise in the Karaburun National Marine Park, Sazan.
Following breakfast, our day unfolds with a cruise aboard a spacious two-deck ship within the pristine surroundings of the Karaburun-Sazan National Marine Park, spanning approximately 3 hours.
Complementing the cruise experience, we indulge in relaxation on one of the idyllic beaches nestled along the Karaburun Peninsula.
The day’s itinerary includes the exploration of the abandoned town on Sazan Island, adding a historical dimension to our coastal adventure.
As the day draws to a close, we return to the hotel in the late evening, where a restful overnight stay awaits.
Berat
Following breakfast, a generous portion of free time is at your disposal to savor the day as you please.
In the afternoon, our journey unfolds with a visit to the enchanting city of Berat, renowned for its picturesque Ottoman houses gracefully ‘flowing’ along both sides of the Osum River valley.
A delightful stroll through the city center provides ample time for exploration, and free moments along the main promenade beckon for a personalized experience.
Following this day, we return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Golem
Embarking on an Albanian off-road adventure, our day unfolds with an exploration of undiscovered regions around Golem, utilizing robust off-road jeeps for an authentic and exhilarating experience.
Traverse through villages untouched by mainstream tourism, where cottages adorned with grapevines dot the picturesque landscapes, revealing the untouched beauty of the region along off-road trails.
Amidst our off-road exploration, we include a refreshing beach interlude, allowing for a leisurely break by the sea.
The journey culminates with a delightful lunch in one of the quaint Albanian villages, offering a taste of local flavors.
As the day concludes, we return to the hotel for a tranquil overnight stay, having immersed ourselves in the uncharted allure of Albania’s off-road landscapes.
Ochryd (Macedonia)
Commencing our day with a very early breakfast, we embark on a cross-border journey from Albania to explore another captivating Balkan gem – Macedonia.
Our destination is the charming town of Ohrid, where a stroll through the Old Town unveils its rich historical tapestry.
Our itinerary encompasses the Hellenistic theater, a remarkable relic dating back to the 2nd century BCE, and a visit to the panoramic viewpoint atop Samuel’s Fortress.
We continue our exploration with Plaoshnik Hill, where the Church of St. Clement stands as a testament to the town’s cultural heritage. Subsequently, rowboats await us for a serene exploration of Kaneo.
Amidst the scenic beauty, guests have the freedom to indulge in lunch, a refreshing swim, or shopping during the allotted free time.
As the day unfolds, we return to our hotel in Skopje, where a restful overnight stay awaits, having immersed ourselves in the historical treasures of Ohrid.
Skopje
Embarking on a day of exploration after breakfast, our journey unfolds in the capital of Macedonia – Skopje. Our itinerary includes visits to prominent landmarks such as Macedonia Square featuring the new monumental Warrior on a Horse sculpture and the triumphal arch Porta Macedonia.
Further highlights encompass the 15th-century Stone Bridge, the historic Stara Čaršija district, the medieval fortress Kale, and the Mustafa Pasha Mosque.
Enjoy free time to peruse the offerings of the covered bazaar, and we’ll also pay a visit to the Mother Teresa Memorial House.
The day concludes with a seamless transfer to Durres, where accommodation at a designated hotel awaits.
Shkodra
Commencing the day with breakfast, our journey leads us to Shkodra, where we embark on a picturesque boat trip on the serene waters of Lake Shkodra.
Following this, we explore the historic Rozafa Castle, whose ruins stand as one of the foremost attractions in Northern Albania. Enjoy some leisure time to immerse yourself in the surroundings.
On our return journey, we visit the hill of Lac, where a visit to the church dedicated to Saint Anthony awaits.
The day concludes with accommodation at the hotel, providing a restful overnight stay.
Durres
After breakfast, savor a leisurely period of free time. Around noon, our journey unfolds with a visit to ‘Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu,’ one of the largest brandy distilleries in Albania, operating continuously since 1933.
Next, we venture into the heart of Durres, one of Albania’s oldest cities, with a rich history spanning over 3000 years as a pivotal port.
Explore the city center and discover the well-preserved Roman amphitheater dating back to the 2nd century AD, capable of accommodating an impressive 20,000 spectators.
As evening descends, we make our way to an enchanting agrotourism farm near Durres for an unforgettable Albanian evening, accompanied by live music as a heartfelt farewell.
The day gracefully concludes with an overnight stay at the hotel.
Tirana
