The Galapagos Islands are an archipelago of volcanic origin in the Pacific Ocean. Only four of them are inhabited by humans, while the rest constitute a national park. The Galapagos is an extraordinary place due to its unique fauna. This place fascinated Charles Darwin, who developed his theory of evolution here…


Travel itinerary

1.day

Flight to Quito

Passport and baggage check-in and flight to Quito. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for check-in and overnight stay.

Galapagos Island

2.day

Baltra Island

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport and flight to Baltra Island, followed by a transfer to Santa Cruz Island. Next, visit the Darwin Research Station and admire the endangered Galapagos tortoises.

3.day

Santa Cruz Island

After breakfast the tour of Santa Cruz Island, famous for its giant tortoises and flamingos. Then, transfer to El Chato Reserve and a stop at the fish market with the opportunity to see sea lions.

After lunch Transfer by water taxi to German Beach. Walk along designated trails to Las Grietas, a scenic fissure perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Observe marine iguanas along the way.

Next, the tour of Tortuga Bay with sunbathing marine iguanas. Free time and the option for an evening stroll on the pier. Overnight stay at the hotel.

4.day

Seymour Island

After breakfast, transfer to the port and cruise to Seymour Island. The itinerary includes observing green sea turtles, land and marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies, swallow-tailed gulls, and one of the largest populations of frigatebirds.

With a bit of luck, there is a chance to see the famous Galapagos sharks. Return to the hotel around 5:00 PM. Free time and overnight stay.

5.day

Bartolome Island

After breakfast, join the tour of one of the rocky islands in the archipelago – Bartolome. Admire the panoramic view of the island from the summit of Bartolome. Transfer to the most photographed spot on the island – Pinnacle Rock.

After lunch, admire the rugged, Martian-like landscape of the island and the equatorial penguins living there. Return to Santa Cruz Island. Overnight stay.

6.day

Isabela Island

After breakfast, join the ferry ride to Isabela Island – the largest island in the archipelago. Tour of the Arnaldo Tupiza Breeding Center – a tortoise reserve.

In the afternoon, walk to Laguna Puerta del Jeli to observe flamingos in their natural habitat. Then, stroll along the beach among lounging iguanas. After returning to the hotel and dinner, free time.

7.day

Santa Cruz Island

After breakfast, enjoy free time to relax on the beautiful Santa Cruz Island. For those interested, there are various available activities such as cycling tours and kayaking.

8.day

San Cristobal Island

After breakfast, transfer to the easternmost island of the archipelago – San Cristobal. Observation of sea lions with an option for snorkeling.

Next, transfer to the airport and flight to Quito. After checking into the hotel, visit the Middle of the World complex – Mitad del Mundo – to stand on both hemispheres at once, with one foot in the southern and the other in the northern hemisphere.

Another attraction is a ride on the TeleferiQo gondola. After reaching the upper station at the Cruz Loma viewpoint, take a short walk in the area.

Next, visit the Temple of the Sun museum to learn about the use of local plants and minerals for medicinal purposes and aromatherapy. Enjoy a tasting of coca tea and explore the works of the famous Ecuadorian painter Ortega Maila, the founder of the museum.

9.day

Quito

After breakfast, join the your of Quito, including Plaza Grande with the Carandolet Palace, a walk along the Street of the Seven Crosses, the Jesuit Church – Iglesia de la Compañia, the Church of St. Francis, El Panecillo Hill.

In the evening, taste local cuisine at one of the small restaurants scattered throughout the city center. Overnight stay at the hotel.

10.day

Quito, Papallacta Hot Pools

After, transfer to the town of Papallacta, famous for its hot springs. Return to Quito. Overnight stay at the hotel.

11.day

Flight from Quito

After breakfast, transfer to the town of Papallacta, famous for its hot springs. Return to Quito. Overnight stay at the hotel.
