After passport and baggage check-in, we will head to one of the most beautiful islands in Oceania. Fiji is undoubtedly famous for its beautiful sandy beaches, exotic islander culture, and excellent cuisine.
A day in transit to Fiji
Today we have another leg of our journey by air to the island of Fiji. The time will be pleasantly passed by the blue sky above us and the beautiful views below. The island was first inhabited around 3,000 years ago and continues to enchant tourists with its beauty to this day.
City Fiji
Arriving at Nadi, the fifth-largest city in Fiji by population. At the airport, we’ll receive a traditional welcome with garlands made of shells. Then, we’ll be transported to the Mantaray Island Resort. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Mantaray Island
The following days will be spent on Mantaray Island. We’ll relax on stunning beaches surrounded by blue lagoons and hills covered with evergreen forests. The beaches attract surfers, divers, and fishermen alike. The island is also known for hosting unique wedding ceremonies.
The cruise to Natadola Bay
After breakfast, our adventure in Fiji enters a new stage. We will head to the Denarau port, from where we will embark on a three-hour cruise on the South Pacific Ocean. We’ll have the opportunity to feel the sea breeze, admire the crystal-clear water, and perhaps encounter dolphins or sea turtles during the cruise.
Upon arriving at Natadola Bay, our eyes will witness a spectacular sunset over the ocean. These moments are unforgettable, with colorful hues painting the sky, the shimmering water, and the sound of waves creating an atmosphere full of romance and tranquility.
Safari in Fiji, Mud Spa: Natadola Bay
Today is a day for relaxation. And for those interested, there are two excursions to choose from:
Afternoon safari on the Sigatoka River. We’ll be jet boating up the river, visiting Fijian villages along the way to learn about the area’s history. We’ll also try Fijian cuisine and have the opportunity to participate in a Kava ceremony. This is one of the most famous and oldest traditional rituals in Fiji, during which a drink made from the Piper methysticum plant, also known as kava, is consumed. Upon taking the first sip, one may feel a slight numbing sensation on the tongue and lips.
For those interested in a mud spa experience, we invite you to join the excursion. We’ll visit the largest Hindu temple in Fiji, the city of Nadi, and enjoy baths in natural hot springs and mud pools.
Navua River
Another day dedicated to relaxation and enjoying the charms of the paradise beaches.
For those interested in experiencing Fijian culture, we invite you to join an optional excursion. After breakfast, we’ll embark on a cruise along the beautiful Navua River. We’ll navigate through the river’s meanders, passing by villages, farmlands, and pristine tropical forests. During the journey, we may encounter wild ducks, herons, and other native birds. The Navua River waterfall is just a five-minute walk away. Guides will assist those seeking more adventure to reach a larger waterfall. We’ll also learn about the history of the village founded in the 19th century. Young men from the village will showcase warrior dances, snake dances, and folk dances. At the end of the day, we’ll sing the farewell song “Isa Lei”.
Tivua Island
For those interested in relaxation, you can choose to stay at the resort.
Those eager for more adventures can opt for a three-hour Captain Cook cruise. We’ll start by boarding the magnificent “Ra Marama” schooner with its white sails or the luxurious, elegant “Fiji One” sailing catamaran. Departing from Port Denarau, we’ll journey to Tivua Island.
Snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters is an unforgettable experience. For those not interested in snorkeling, massages on the beach are available, or you can join a glass-bottom boat tour.
Cloud 9
For those interested, there’s an intriguing relaxation option known as Cloud 9. It’s a unique spot for unwinding and having a good time. We’ll spend the day on a wooden platform equipped with sun loungers, sunny terraces, and drink bars. The atmosphere will be enhanced by a DJ and their music mixes, ensuring a fantastic time for everyone.
