Travel itinerary
FLIGHT TO WARSAW
Departure to Poland from any airport. To start off, a stroll through the Old Town. We will see, among other things, the Royal Castle, the Sigismund’s Column, the monument of the Little Insurgent, and the Old Town Market Square.
Transfer to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
GNIEZNO - BYDGOSZCZ
After breakfast, we will head to Bydgoszcz. En route, we will stop in the historical first capital of Poland – Gniezno, which, like Rome, was built on seven hills. It was here in 1000 AD that the first King of Poland, Bolesław Chrobry, was crowned, and Gniezno is considered the cradle of Polish statehood. We will then proceed to Bydgoszcz for a stroll through the Old Town. We will see the Market Square, Mill Island, which is the heart of the Venice of Bydgoszcz, the Royal Mint, and the historic buildings of Rother’s Mills.
Transfer to Toruń for overnight accommodation.
TORUN
Today we will spend the day in Toruń, the city of Nicolaus Copernicus and Toruń gingerbread. We will explore the city center. During the walk, we will see, among other things, the Monastery Gate, the Leaning Tower, the defensive walls of the Old Town, the house of Nicolaus Copernicus (external visit only), St. John’s Cathedral, the monument of Nicolaus Copernicus, the “donkey pillory”, the Old Town Hall, the Flisak Fountain, the House under the Star, and the Gingerbread Walk of Fame. Overnight stay in Toruń.
MALBORK - GDAŃSK
After breakfast, we will travel to Malbork and visit the famous Teutonic Castle. During the guided tour, we will uncover the biggest secrets of this enormous Gothic structure, the most powerful castle in the world. Then, we will head to Gdańsk and have free time in the Old Town. Overnight stay in Gdańsk.
GDYNIA - SOPOT - GDAŃSK
Breakfast. Transfer to Gdynia, a city of modernism and sailors. We will start our walk from the most important point of the Gdynia city center, Kościuszki Square, where we will encounter the city’s major tourist attractions: the museum ship ORP “Błyskawica,” which served in the Polish Navy during World War II (with a tour of the ship), the three-masted beautiful sailing ship “Dar Pomorza,” and the modernist buildings of the Gdynia Aquarium and the Maritime School. From Gdynia, we will head to Sopot. This Polish capital of high-class vacations and leisure invites us to admire its gems, such as the Pier, which extends over 450 meters into the Gulf of Gdańsk, and Monte Cassino Street, popularly known as “Monciak,” which is full of restaurants, shops, cafes, and artists.
Transfer to Gdańsk, dinner, and overnight stay.
GDAŃSK
Breakfast. Sightseeing tour of the center of Gdańsk. During the walk, a local guide will tell us about the Motława waterfront, the medieval Crane, the monumental building of the Naturalists’ Society, the charming Mariacka Street and its tenements. Additionally, we will see the representative Long Market, with the symbol of Gdańsk, the Neptune Fountain, the typical for great ancient merchant cities Artus Court, the Gothic-Renaissance Main Town Hall, the 16th-century Schumann House, and the mannerist Green Gate. Continuing our walk, we will reach the “Crown of Gdańsk,” the Basilica of St. Mary, the largest brick sacred building in Europe, and we will go up to the viewpoint, from which we will have a view of the whole city. We will also visit the European Solidarity Center, which is not only a museum but also a center for dialogue about the contemporary world.
Dinner and overnight stay in Gdańsk.
WARSAW
We bid farewell to the Polish coast and return to Warsaw. After checking in at the hotel, we grab our swimsuits and head to the Suntago Water Park to relax and enjoy its numerous attractions for the rest of the day. Everyone will find something for themselves here: thermal water pools, saunas, and slides. We will have dinner at one of the several restaurants available on site.
In the evening, we return to the hotel. Overnight stay in Warsaw.
