Flight to Warsaw
Today marks the first day of the program: Poland: Sentimental Borderlands Plus Krakow. Our journey will commence with a flight to Warsaw.
Upon arrival, we will transfer to Augustow for accommodation. After a brief rest, we invite you to a special welcome dinner.
Augustow
After breakfast, we will explore Augustow, a city with royal ties, founded, according to legend, by King Zygmunt August in honor of his first meeting with his great love, Barbara Radziwiłłówna.
We’ll stroll through Zygmunt August Square, admiring original houses from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. We will visit the Augustow Canal Museum, Turk’s House (formerly the NKVD headquarters from 1940-1945), the Presidential Villa, the Basilica of NSJ, and the Old Post Office.
Following our city tour, we will embark on a cruise with Augustow Navigation along the “Pope’s Trail” to the Marian Sanctuary in Studzieniczna.
Our day will end with a visit to the Augustow Honey House, where we will learn about beekeeping and honey production and savor various Augustow honey varieties.
After a brief rest at the hotel, join us for an evening of dancing at the renowned Polish restaurant – ALBATROS.
Suwalski Landscape Park
After breakfast, we will explore Suwalki Landscape Park, including its highest peak, Cisowa Góra. We will visit a Women’s Rural Housewives’ Association to see how they make a Suwalki delicacy called “Sękacz” and enjoy a regional lunch.
Next, we’ll tour Wigry National Park and visit the Camaldolese Monastery to learn about its history.
After returning to Augustow, you’ll have free time for relaxation or leisure activities.

Troki
After breakfast, we will explore historically Polish places that have inspired sentimental works.
We’ll start with a visit to Trakai, a town with a rich history in Lithuania, known for its Karaim community. We’ll explore Trakai Castle and taste “kibinai,” a traditional Karaim dish.
Next, we’ll head to Vilnius, where we’ll visit the Rossa Cemetery, St. Peter and St. Paul’s Church, the Gate of Dawn, the Orthodox Church of the Holy Spirit, Adam Mickiewicz’s House, the University, Gediminas’ Tower, and the Hill of Three Crosses.
In the evening, we’ll return to Augustow for dinner and an overnight stay.
Poczopek
After breakfast, we will head to the southern part of Podlasie. Passing through Sokółka, we will make our way to Kruszynian. Dżamil will be waiting for us there to share the history of the Tatar community.
After lunch, we will visit Poczopek – Sylvarium and the town of Supraśl, known for its Museum of Icons. We will then proceed to Białystok to see the Branicki Palace.
At the end of the day, we will arrive at Ziołowy Zakątek in Koryciny, where we will have dinner and spend the night.
Białowieża National Park
After breakfast, we will visit Białowieża National Park, where the symbol is the bison, saved from extinction.
Together with a guide, we will visit the Bison Show Reserve, the museum of Białowieża National Park, and the strict protection area of the Park.
In the afternoon, we will return to the Herbal Corner for dinner and overnight stay.
Herbal Nook
After breakfast, we will spend the day at the Herbal Nook: workshops, walks, spa, massages, complete relaxation, and rejuvenation before returning home. At the end of the day, a regional bonfire awaits us.
Kazimierz Dolny
After breakfast, we will explore Kazimierz Dolny, a picturesque town. Then, we’ll visit Góra Trzech Krzyży (Hill of Three Crosses) and the castle. After lunch, we’ll continue to Zamość for a city tour, including the Salt Market, Water Market, Old Lubelska Gate, and the Jan Zamoyski Monument. Check-in at the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Zamość, Łańcut
After breakfast, we will explore Zamość and its surroundings, including the Town Hall, the perfectly square market square with Armenian houses, the Cathedral, the Zamoyski Palace, the Brewery in Zwierzyniec, the Castle on the Water in Zwierzyniec, and the dam in Górecko Kościelne.
Next, we will head to Łańcut to visit Łańcut Castle, one of the most beautiful aristocratic residences in Poland.
In the evening, we will drive to Rzeszów for overnight accommodation.
Rzeszów, Wieliczka
After breakfast, we will explore Rzeszów and its surroundings. We will visit the Main Market Square, Lubomirski Castle, and the Art Nouveau villas on Rzeszów’s most beautiful street, Aleja pod Kasztanami.
After lunch, we will visit the Wieliczka Salt Mine and then proceed to Kraków for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Krakow
After breakfast, we will embark on a tour of Krakow, visiting landmarks such as the Main Market Square, Cloth Hall, St. Mary’s Basilica, Kościuszko Mound, Wawel Castle with the Cathedral, Barbican, Wawel Dragon, Planty Park, and Kazimierz.
At the end of the day, we will enjoy a farewell dinner and overnight accommodation.
Departure from Krakow

Tour participants are insured according to the requirements of the US Department of Transportation for a total amount of $500,000 (insurance policy available upon request). Participants may opt for additional insurance coverage for hospital and outpatient treatment of illnesses acquired during the tour, as well as accidents in visited facilities (further information available at the office) for an additional fee.
