Bali, known as the ‘Island of a Thousand Temples’ or the ‘Island of the Happy People,’ is a destination that beckons with its beautiful tropical forests, rice fields, Hindu temples, and warm, vibrant culture, inviting visitors to spend their holidays here. Bali is also home to active volcanoes, from whose peaks one can best admire breathtaking sunrises.
Flight to Bali
Flight to Bali – a place where everyone will find something for themselves. Amazing views, tropical forests, intense colors, and the scents of exotic flowers, incense, and spices are a sensory paradise.
Upon arrival at Denpasar in Bali, we will be welcomed at the airport. Then we will transfer to the hotel in Ubud – a city known as the main center of Balinese culture. Accommodation at the hotel and welcome dinner. Overnight stay in Ubud.
Today we have a meeting with classic Bali. After breakfast, we will visit a primary school, where we will meet children from nearby villages. Then we will enter a local household and familiarize ourselves with its characteristic layout and organization of space.
The first stop will be at the family temple. A local priest will perform a short blessing ceremony. Right after that, we will be guided through the most important places on the household premises.
Next, we will take a walk through the rice fields. Everyone will have the opportunity to try their hand at planting rice. After the walk, we will enjoy some fruits and fresh coconut straight from the palm tree. During lunch consisting of traditional Balinese dishes, local artists will present us with a dance performance and gamelan music.
We will return to Ubud in the afternoon. There will be time to relax by the pool, have a massage, or take a stroll around the city in search of beautiful Balinese products. Overnight stay in Ubud.
After breakfast, we will visit the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary. Then we will head to the Tegalalang rice terraces. Optionally, there will be a photo session on the swing or a bike ride along the rope above the rice terraces.
Next, we will visit the Tirta Empul Temple, which means “holy water spring.” It is one of the largest and busiest water temples in Indonesia, dedicated to the god Vishnu.
After the temple visit, we will drive past the still active Mount Batur (1770 m), where a buffet lunch will be served on a terrace with a view of the volcano. It will be a moment of relaxation with a stunning view.
Upon returning to Ubud, we will visit the local market, and then we will attend a Balinese dance performance at Ubud Palace. Return to the hotel in the evening. Overnight stay in Ubud.
Ubud, Sekumpul Waterfall
After breakfast, we will drive north of the island to the area near the largest Sekumpul waterfall. To reach the waterfall, we will embark on a 30-minute walk through the canyon and rice fields.
Next, we will visit the Ulun Danau Temple. After the tour, we will take a scenic drive to the Jatuliwuh rice terraces. We will stroll through the rice paddies and learn about the intricacies of rice planting.
Then, we will have lunch at a restaurant overlooking the rice fields. Return to the hotel and overnight stay in Ubud.
*Depending on weather conditions, there may be a change to a different waterfall.
A free day for rest and relaxation in true Balinese style. You can unwind by the pool or indulge in the renowned Balinese spa treatments. Take some time for souvenir shopping.
Optionally, we recommend a sunrise trek to the still-active Mount Batur volcano (1717 m above sea level). Additional optional excursions include rafting, cooking classes, or yoga sessions. *All optional excursions incur an additional cost. The price and availability are subject to confirmation by the guide.
After breakfast, we will head to the northeastern part of the island – to the famous Pura Lempuyang Temple located on the extinct volcano of the same name. Lempuyang Temple is one of the oldest and most revered temples in Bali.
After exploring, we will visit the royal water gardens of Tirta Gangga, located in the eastern part of Bali, as well as the Ujung Palace. Return to the Sanur hotel for overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, we will transfer to the port in Sanur and take a fast boat ride (approximately 30-45 minutes) to the neighboring island of Nusa Penida. In the afternoon, we will have lunch and relax. Overnight stay on Nusa Penida.
Nusa Penida, Nusa Dua
After breakfast, we will head to the most famous spot on the island – Kelingking Beach. The distinctive shape of the cliff resembles a dinosaur, hence its popular name T-Rex. Nearby, you’ll find Broken Beach with its natural rock tunnel. Finally, we’ll relax at Crystal Bay, where you can snorkel and swim.
We’ll then return to the port, take a boat back to Bali, and transfer to our accommodation in Nusa Dua, considered the most luxurious location on the island. This area is dominated by international hotels, resorts, and private villa complexes, and it’s known for its beautiful sandy beaches.
Free time until noon. You can relax on the beach or by the pool.
In the early afternoon, we’ll head towards Uluwatu. We’ll start by visiting the Uluwatu Temple complex. After exploring the temple, we’ll head to Suluban Beach, known for its excellent surfing conditions.
Then, if time allows, we’ll stop at Padang Padang Beach. Made famous by Julia Roberts in the Hollywood movie “Eat, Pray, Love” from 2010, it’s undoubtedly one of the most picturesque beaches in Bali. After a full day of activities, we’ll have a farewell dinner.
