Travel itinerary
FLIGHT TO ZURICH FROM ANY AIRPORT IN THE WORLD
We begin our journey to Switzerland with passport and baggage check-in, and a flight to Zurich – a city surrounded by Alpine peaks and offering magnificent views.
THE FINANCIAL CITY: ZURICH
After arriving in Zurich, we will check into our hotel. After a short rest, we will set out to explore the city. Zurich, the capital and largest city of Switzerland, has only 400,000 inhabitants. Although it is primarily associated with finance due to the presence of renowned banks, it also offers other attractions. We will discover them during our stay. Zurich is located on the shores of Lake Zurich. During a stroll through the old town, we will see the Town Hall, the wide Rathausbrücke bridge, which used to be a market square, and the 15th-century Cathedral. For those interested, there will be the opportunity to climb the cathedral tower, which will require some effort, but the view from the top will compensate for any hardships.
Moving to the more modern part of the city, we will take a walk down the ‘most expensive’ street, Bahnhofstrasse, where numerous banks, financial institutions, and luxury boutiques are located. Overnight stay in Zurich
LAKE OF FOUR CANTONS - BURGENSTOCK - INTERLAKEN
After breakfast, we will head to Burgenstock – a resort located on the spectacular mountain of the same name, from which there is a view over Lake of Four Cantons. The name of the lake comes from the four cantons it borders.
Our trek to the summit of Burgenstock, located at an altitude of 1128 meters above sea level, will have several stops. We will stop at a viewpoint, where we can admire the panorama of the lakes and the nearby Lucerne. The further route will lead us to the highest outdoor elevator in the whole of Europe, reaching a height of 152.8 meters – Hammetschwand. After a short rest, we will descend to Burgenstock and then head to Interlaken for overnight stay.
