Travel itinerary
Flight to Italy
Passport and baggage check-in and flight to Italy to experience a journey full of flavors and beautiful sights.
Italy
Upon arrival in Italy, transfer to the hotel for accommodation and overnight stay.
Florence
After breakfast, a tour of Florence. The program includes, among others, the famous 13th-century Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, known to Italians as Il Duomo.
Next, a walk through the Old Town and lunch at a restaurant serving local cuisine. Then a visit to the largest historical market in Florence – Mercato Centrale. Free time and the opportunity to taste Gelato – traditionally made artisanal ice cream.
In the afternoon, a visit to Piazza del Mercato Nuovo with its famous boar statue. According to legend, rubbing its nose brings good luck. The next stop is one of the oldest museums in Europe, the Uffizi Gallery.
Accommodation and overnight stay at the hotel.
San Gimignano, Volterra
Transfer to San Gimignano – a town known as the “Manhattan of Tuscany” or the “City of Beautiful Towers.” In addition to the famous towers (including Torre Grossa), visit the 13th-century well at Piazza Cisterna. Then, explore Piazza Duomo and possibly the Collegiate Church with the relics of St. Fina, as well as a tasting of local ice cream.
In the afternoon, transfer to the town of Volterra. The program includes, among others, the well-preserved Etruscan gate and the ruins of the Roman theater, Piazza dei Priori, and the Palazzo located there.
At the end of the day, we will visit the oldest historical alabaster workshop, where objects made of milky-white stone are produced. Observe the craftsman at work.
Transfer to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Pisa, Lucca
Siena
After breakfast, transfer along a scenic route to Siena. Begin with a view of Siena from a panoramic terrace, allowing for an observation of the architecture of this place. The most interesting site is Piazza del Campo, a shell-shaped square whose pavement slopes downward towards the Palazzo Pubblico building.
The tour program includes visits to: Basilica of St. Dominic, the Sanctuary – House of St. Catherine, Piazza Salimbeni, Piazza Tolomei, and the Duomo – Siena Cathedral.
Transfer for an overnight stay in the Val D’Orcia Valley.
Pienza
After breakfast, transfer to Pienza and a walk along the Gladiator Road. Stop at the city’s panoramic terrace, where you can admire the view of the Val d’Orcia Valley, the 15th-century cathedral, and two Renaissance palaces: Palazzo Piccolomini and Palazzo Borgia.
Next, transfer to the Pianporcino farm for a cheese tasting. The farm produces about 30 types of cheese, mostly pecorino.
Transfer to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Val D’Orcia Valley, Bagno Vignoni
After breakfast, we will embark on a bike tour to explore the major attractions of Lucca.
Our exploration will begin with a visit to the Romanesque cathedral built in honor of the Archangel Michael. San Michele al Foro is a Romanesque masterpiece that was built on the site of the ancient Roman forum.
After breakfast, transfer to the Val D’Orcia Valley. Begin with a visit to the unique town of Bagno Vignoni, which has a thermal water pool in the center of town instead of a main square. Next, tour the ruins of the park where old mills were once powered by thermal waters (Parco dei Mulini).
The next stop is the village of Montichiello, which enchants with its medieval charm, followed by San Quirico, where you can admire landmarks such as the Romanesque Collegiata Church and the 16th-century Horti Leonini garden.
Transfer to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Departure from Italy
After breakfast, we will say goodbye to the charms of Tuscany. After passport control, departure for home. We invite you to join other trips for ladies. Maybe this time to Portugal?
