Mount Everest

Phakding - Namche Bazaar (3410 M)

Following breakfast in Phakding, we will set out on a trek towards the mountain town of Namche Bazaar. En route, we’ll traverse small settlements and Sherpa villages.

The trail takes us through Sagarmatha National Park, across alpine forests, rhododendron forests, and along mountain streams. Owing to its strategic location and topography, Namche Bazaar has evolved into a bustling commercial hub in the Khumbu region.

We will spend the night at a guesthouse near Namche Bazaar.

Namche Bazaar (3720 M)

Namche Bazaar serves as an ideal location for acclimatization. Following breakfast, we will undertake a brief hike to Syangboche (3720 m).

From multiple vantage points, we will revel in the panoramic views of the Himalayan range, featuring iconic peaks such as Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt. Lhotse (8749m), Nuptse (7861m), Ama Dablam (6856 m), and Labuche (6119m). We will spend the night at a guesthouse.

Namache Bazaar -Tengboche (3860M)

Today’s trek commences along the trail paralleling streams fed by the waters of the Dudh Koshi glaciers.

Upon arrival in Tengboche, we will witness the famous monastery featuring a 20-meter Buddha statue, intricate craftsmanship, and the distinctive musical instruments and robes of the Lamas. Participating in the daily prayer ceremony at the monastery, we’ll join fellow climbers. The night will be spent at a guesthouse.

Tengboche - Dingboche (4400)

Following breakfast, our trek persists, tracing the course of the Imja Khola – the river sourced from the glaciers of Everest.

Crossing a suspension bridge, our journey proceeds towards Pengboche, traversing traditional Sherpa villages until reaching Dingboche. With captivating vistas of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam, we settle in for the night at a guesthouse.

Dingboche (5083 m)

In Dingboche, strategic acclimatization continues. Following breakfast, we ascend to the summit of Nangkartshang, surpassing an elevation of 5,000 meters.

Weather permitting, the summit offers a breathtaking view of Ama Dablam peak. The remainder of the day entails trekking through surrounding villages. Our night will be spent at a guesthouse.

Dingboche - Lobuche (4910 m)

Our ascent today directs us to Dhungla, tracing the path adjacent to the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. En route, we encounter stone memorials dedicated to climbers who lost their lives on expeditions.

As we ascend, mild altitude sickness may be felt, prompting a leisurely pace with ample breaks. Our night will be spent at a guesthouse.

Lobuche - Gorakshep (5140 m)

On this significant day, we will attain the pinnacle of our expedition – the Everest Base Camp. Following breakfast, our trek continues along the Khumbu Glacier, the largest glacier in the world. After approximately 3 hours of walking, we arrive at Gorakshep, where we temporarily unload our heavier belongings and enjoy lunch.

Proceeding to a vantage point, we are afforded a breathtaking view of Everest Base Camp – the furthest point accessible to non-professional mountaineers without specialized gear. The panoramic scene encompasses the Khumbu Glacier and the base camp itself. We dedicate time to soak in the awe-inspiring vistas and capture memorable photographs. Our night will be spent in Gorakshep.

Gorakshep - Kalapathar - Pheriche (5545M)

The trek from Gorakshep to Kalapathar stands out as one of the most challenging sections of our entire journey. Kalapathar, a renowned vantage point, promises a magnificent panorama of the Himalayas, providing the best view of Mount Everest.

Embarking on the trek to Kalapathar early in the morning, we are treated to the breathtaking spectacle of sunrise – a true highlight of the entire expedition. As the sun ascends behind Mt. Everest, it bathes the peaks in a mesmerizing array of colors. We savor the panoramic views, capture photographs, and revel in the experience. Subsequently, we return to Gorakshep and begin our descent towards Pheriche. The night will be spent at a guesthouse.

Pheriche - Namche Bazaar

Gradually parting ways with the majestic mountains, our descent continues along the scenic trail alongside the Imja River, leading us back to Tengboche. Progressing further, we reach Phungki Thanka and eventually return to Namche Bazaar. The remainder of the day invites exploration of the charming streets of Namche Bazaar. Our overnight stay is arranged at a guesthouse.

Namche Bazaar - Lukla

The trail from Namche Bazaar to Lukla retraces the familiar path we took on our journey to Everest Base Camp, now with the advantage of a descent, making the trek more manageable in terms of altitude.

Upon our arrival in Lukla, a well-deserved rest and celebration await. Our overnight stay is arranged at a guesthouse.

Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu

The morning brings a 30-minute flight from Lukla to Kathmandu, where we will be transferred to our hotel. In the evening, indulge in a traditional Nepalese dinner accompanied by regional dances.

After breakfast, embark on a journey to explore Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Begin with Boudhanath Stupa, the world’s largest Buddhist sacred structure.

Continue to the Pashupatinath Temple, a significant Hindu religious site dedicated to the god Shiva. It holds great importance, especially for pilgrims from India.

Explore Durbar Square, showcasing exquisite art, architecture, and crafts in its pillars, buildings, windows, and the Hanuman Dhoka Museum.

Conclude the day in Bhaktapur, an ancient city with a medieval appearance, showcasing well-preserved architecture and craftsmanship. The evening concludes with a transfer to the airport.

Departure from Kathamandu

As our journey concludes, we extend our gratitude for being part of this adventure. Following the airport transfer and group farewells, it’s time for the flight back home.
