Travel itinerary

We begin our adventure with passport and baggage check-in. Arrival in Lima – a place where history comes alive at every step. Then, we’ll have a flight to Cusco.

After breakfast, we will head towards the town of Pisac, where Incan archaeological sites are located. Along the way, we will stop at the Taray viewpoint.

The main highlight of the day will be the Incan ruins of Sacsayhuaman. It is here that the Inti Raymi festival takes place every year on June 24th.

We will end the day with a stroll through the streets of Cusco, known as the “navel of the Inca world.” The main square is surrounded by beautiful colonial houses with wooden balconies, and in the center stands a golden statue of the Inca ruler – Pachacuti.

Overnight in Cusco.

Inti Raymi, or the Festival of the Sun

After breakfast, we will participate in the Inti Raymi – Festival of the Sun celebrations. The festivities will commence at the Coricancha Temple and then move to the main square of Cusco, culminating in an offering to Mother Nature at the Sacsayhuaman Temple.

After this eventful day, we will visit various landmarks including the Historic Center of Cusco, the Cathedral, the Jesuit Church, Plaza De Armas, the Temple of the Sun, and the artistic district of San Blas.

Accommodation and overnight stay in Cusco.

After breakfast, we will visit the Salineras de Maras, which are ancient salt pans dating back to Inca times. These terraced salt mines are still in use today and provide a fascinating glimpse into traditional salt extraction methods.

Following our visit to Salineras de Maras, we will proceed to the Inca ruins of Ollantaytambo. This archaeological site served as a fortress and ceremonial center during the time of the Inca Empire. We will explore the impressive stone terraces, temples, and ceremonial baths while learning about the rich history and significance of this site.

After our tour, we will return to Cusco for the evening.

The mysterious city of the Incas: Machu Picchu

After breakfast, we will visit the mysterious Inca city and Peru’s greatest attraction – the ruins of Machu Picchu.

In the afternoon, we will return to Aguas Calientes for lunch. We will also have the opportunity to participate in a tasting of the local beverage called chicha. During the tasting, we will learn about the secrets of producing this corn-based drink.

In the evening, we will return to Cusco for overnight accommodation.

Today we have an early wake-up call to reach the town of Cusipata before sunrise. From there, we will begin a two-hour trek to a viewpoint to admire the sunrise, this time from the Rainbow Mountain.

In the afternoon, we will return to Cusco. Here, you will have free time.

Today we are nearing the end of our journey. It’s time for one last stroll through the former Inca capital.

We’ll visit the local mercado (market) to buy some final souvenirs and taste local delicacies. Then, we’ll stroll again through the main square, Plaza de Armas, where we’ll have time for some last memorable photos with small alpacas and llamas.

Afterward, we’ll head to the airport in Cusco for our flight to Lima.

Farewell to the group and return home, to plan the next journey to corners of the world.
