Travel itinerary
Flight to Seul
The adventure with Korea will begin with passport and baggage check-in to head to Seoul, often called the city of two faces. Tea houses and small shops in the historic Insandong district, the Biwon garden, Namsan Park, and dazzling royal palaces provide a fascinating contrast to the sea of neon lights, skyscrapers, and the latest technologies.
Seul
After arriving in Korea, we will check in at the hotel. In the afternoon, we will visit the television tower, also known as the Namsan Tower. It is one of the best and most frequently visited observation points in the city. At a height of 480m, we will admire the magnificent panorama of the city.
Seul
After breakfast, we will explore one of the most important landmarks in the capital of South Korea – Gyeongbokgung Royal Palace. With a bit of luck, we might witness the changing of the guard ceremony at the palace.
In the afternoon, we will take a stroll through the most charming part of Seoul – the historic district of Bukchon, known as a living museum. Here, we will encounter hundreds of traditional houses called hanoks. Some of them house tea rooms, restaurants, cafes, and guesthouses, while others continue to serve as private residences.
Seul
After breakfast, we will head to the border area where South Korea meets North Korea. The demilitarized zone (DMZ) is a highly protected region that has revealed many species of animals at risk of extinction.
We will visit the Third Tunnel, Dora Observatory, Dorasan Station, and Freedom Bridge. In case the demilitarized zone is closed for political reasons, we will follow an alternative itinerary. In the afternoon, we will explore the traditional and culturally rich Insadong district in Seoul. We’ll visit one of the typical traditional tea houses to learn more about the art of tea brewing.
Return to the hotel and overnight.
Suwon
After breakfast, we have a full-day trip to Suwon ahead. We will explore the 17th-century fortifications built by King Jeongjo and visit the Samsung Innovation Museum on the campus of Samsung Electronics.
Return to Seoul for an overnight stay. In the evening, there is an optional visit to the Gwangjiang Night Food Market, where you can sample various Korean culinary delights.
Sokcho, Seoraksan National Park
In the morning, we’ll have some more time to explore Seoul. In the afternoon, we will take a bus (approximately 2.5 hours) to one of the most beautiful places in South Korea, near Seoraksan National Park. We’ll explore the national park, stay in Sokcho, and take a stroll along the city beach.
For dinner, we’ll visit one of the many local restaurants specializing in grilled fish. The fish and seafood here are fresh and served in Korean style with various side dishes.
Sokcho, Andong
After breakfast, we’ll head to Punggi, an area known for cultivating ginseng. We’ll visit the local market, where you can see various products made from this plant.
Next, we’ll go to the UNESCO-listed traditional Korean village of Hahoe and the town of Andong (approximately 5 hours). We’ll check into a hotel and take an evening stroll around the city.
For dinner, we’ll opt for one of the specialties of Korean cuisine: a self-service grill. In a typical restaurant of this kind, there is a grill plate in the central part of the table where we can cook the dishes we ordered.
Gyeongju
After breakfast, we’ll drive to Gyeongju, where we’ll explore the city center listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
South Korea also boasts a rich tradition, as we’ll discover while visiting the 500-year-old village of Yangdong, which serves as an example of a clan village in South Korea. The village is home to residences of ruling clans, Confucian academies, and servant quarters.
After the tour, we’ll check into a hotel for an overnight stay.
Świątynia Bulguksa, Budda z Seokguram

Nastepnie pojedziemy do Busan, głównego portu i drugiego pod względem liczby mieszkańców miasta w Korei Południowej. Jeszcze tego dnia odwiedzimy cmentarz wojsk ONZ. Wieczorem wizyta na słynnym targu rybnym, gdzie będzie można zjeść m. in. fenomenalną zupę rybną.
