2.day

San José, Coffee Plantation, Poas Volcano, La Paz Waterfall

After breakfast, we will depart towards the Central Mountain Range, where we will visit an original Costa Rican coffee plantation, La Paz waterfall gardens and the Poas volcano.

The main purpose of this “coffee tour” is to learn both about the production process and the process of making coffee. Then we will go on an expedition to the Poas Volcano.

On the way we will contemplate the beautiful landscape of coffee plantations, ferns, flowers and strawberries.  Continuing our trip to the La Paz Waterfall Gardens, we will have lunch.

Upon arrival, we will embark on a trail leading to a spectacular waterfall in the middle of the rainforest. We will also see a gallery of hummingbirds, a serpentarium, a house for birds, a butterfly garden and an exhibition of frogs. Return to San Jose for an overnight stay.

3.day

San José, Arenal Volcano

After breakfast, we will say goodbye to San Jose for a while to go near the city of La Fortunana, where the Arenal volcano is located.

The Arenal Mistico Park located there is famous for its suspension bridges. It is an ideal place for hiking. There are trails and bridges that lead to the “heart” of this primeval rainforest full of birds, flowers and lush vegetation.

We will also go straight into the forest via fifteen bridge sections, six of which are treetop suspension bridges, along easy, safe and beautiful trails overlooking Arenal Volcano.

4.day

Water Safari

After breakfast, a real treat for nature lovers – a boat trip on the Caño Negro and Río Frío rivers! The cruise will begin in Los Chiles, a small town located four kilometers from the Nicaraguan border.

Along the river you can observe huge numbers of birds (such as snakebird, heron and cormorant) and animals (howler monkeys, spiders, white-faced monkeys, three-toed sloths, some reptiles such as caimans, Jesus Christ lizards as well as turtles).

After lunch, we will drive to the hotel where we can relax in the pools filled with thermal waters that are naturally heated by the Arenal volcano. Return to the hotel in the evening.

5.day

Tarcoles River, Punta Leona

Today we exchange Arenal Volcano National Park to Manuel Antonio Volcano.  We start our adventure with a boat trip on the Tarcoles River!

During the two-hour tour of the Tarcoles River to the Guacalillo Mangrove Estuary, you will be accompanied by a bilingual guide who will point out the often hard-to-see wildlife. We will definitely see more crocodiles here than anywhere else in the world!

After sightseeing, we will have lunch and drive to a hotel located right on the beach in Punta Leona.

6.day

Punta Leona, Manuel Antonio National PArk

After breakfast, we will set off to the Manuel Antonio National Park. Once there, we will explore the natural, unspoilt beauty of this world-famous place full of exotic animals such as monkeys, sloths, birds, reptiles and butterflies.

After about a two-kilometer hike through picturesque areas, we will reach the beach. During this refreshing 20-minute beach stop, we’ll hear the roar of the lush forest behind us, see the white sandy beach beneath our feet, and see the crystal blue waters.

The trained eyes of our guide will reliably spot the diverse fauna and flora along the way so that we can capture it with our cameras. Return to your hotel in Punta Leona.

7.day

Punta Leona

Breakfast at the hotel and a day off. During this time we will be able to take full advantage of the opportunities offered by this beautiful part of the world. Our hotel is located in the immediate vicinity of a beautiful beach on the central Pacific coast.

It is a perfect opportunity to break away from the routine and enjoy the connection with nature. We will spend our last night in Costa Rica there. An opportunity to rent kayaks, boats and surfboards.

8.day

San Jose

And the day has arrived when we say goodbye to beautiful Costa Rica. After breakfast, transfer to San José airport, saying farewell to the group and returning home to plan your next trips. How about Galapagos this time?
